Beaches
are one of the main reasons to head to Goa as there are so many to choose from
and they each provide a unique experience. South Goa just like in the north has
a range of beautiful sandy destinations for travellers to try out. Tourists
should definitely make a plan when they head to Goa to work out which beaches
they want to visit when they get there. Colva Beach is a stunning place that is
well worth visiting for its gorgeous white sandy beach and the magnificent
views of the surrounding area. This superb beach is absolutely beautiful and
contains many forms of small sealife roaming the area including crabs and
starfish.
This
is an area that is perfect for budding photographers as apart from the sealife
there are colourful boats belonging to fishermen. It is also a wonderful place
to stick around and watch the sun go down. There are many shacks by Colva Beach
that offers delicious seafood and travellers will enjoy the pretty views from
there. There is also a lively market that is run on the beach in the mornings
that sells fresh fish from the water including mackerel and prawns. It is
fascinating to see the fishermen at work clearing their nets and cleaning the
fish for sale. This is a very unique experience for travellers to witness
first-hand how this market is run.
Tourists
should find a destination that is close to these areas and a great example is
Joecons Beach Resort. This amazing hotel is one of the best beach resorts in South Goa as it offers
top staff service and excellent rooms. The air-conditioned living spaces have
modern amenities such as free Wi-Fi internet. This lovely accommodation is
located in the gorgeous town of Benaulim and has two and three-bedroom villas
perfect for families or groups of friends who want to stay close together. The
open-air Joecons Garden Restaurant has tasty Indian and Chinese dishes and
guests must also try the seafood and Goan meals.
Palolem
Beach is one of the most famous destinations in Goa and attracts many
travellers from around the world. It has a lovely crescent shape that is
beautiful for taking pictures and is just a lovely place for a leisurely walk
along the sand. This is a beach offering a chance to head out and try some
exciting water sports. South Goa is a wonderful place to visit as it is quieter
than its northern half and is ideal for families heading to India. There are
many cute villages worth visiting and tourists will also love the old buildings
that are dotted around.
Cavelossim
is a great example of a place to head to that is a tranquil seaside village in
southern Goa. It has beautiful historic pieces of architecture such as the
Church of the Holy Cross that is definitely worth visiting. There are many
eateries in this village that serve up some mouth-watering seafood that
travellers will remember for a long time. There are also a range of market
stalls and a lovely white sand beach that is ideal for relaxing. Water sports
fans can try out paragliding to take a boat up the magnificent Sal River. There
is so much to see and do in South Goa that travellers will definitely have to
work out where they are going.
